About the band

For over 60 years, Joe Haider has been on the jazz circuit as a pianist/composer/arranger/educator with no end in sight. He thus remains a valuable member of the European jazz community.

"Slide Hampton Project“ - a tribute to his former co-leader and recently deceased great musician, trombonist, arranger, and composer with whom Joe Haider played a lot in the 70s. Now the trumpeter Claus Reichstaller from Munich and Joe Haider have decided to revive the band. The original "old" tunes from back then are played, composed, and arranged for a 12-man band by Slide Hampton.
